Monday, Monday

Happy Monday all!
Today I will put more work into the cupcake apron for adults, and I might throw together a Little Mermaid apron for my toddler to wear while she pretends to cook with her kitchen set. That apron will also be featured on my Etsy page, so keep your eyes open if that sounds like something you'd like (maybe even an adult sized one for yourself?).

Right now, we're watching "minions" which is what my daughter calls Despicable Me.

Here's to a fast week! Have a good day everyone!

Wine Not Be Done With It?

I finished the Wine Not? Apron! Available for purchase on my Etsy shop (the link is in the last few posts).

Photos below:

The ties are super long, 42" each, and as you see, they wrap around and can be tied neatly in front. Or you can tie them behind you. It's nice to have options!

Happy Saturday

A happy Saturday everyone!
What are you doing to keep busy today? Aside from grocery shopping, I plan to finish some aprons. That is the plan, anyhow. After all, the best laid plans yadda yadda...
If you're busy cooking, you should hop on over to the Etsy shop and pick up an apron. We can do custom orders as well!
Enjoy!

Winner, Winner! Apron to wear at dinner!

The winner has been picked! Congratulations! You've been contacted :)
For those who didn't win this time, don't be upset! There are plenty of others for purchase on my Etsy page and if we get more likes on the Facebook page and more traffic to Etsy, maybe I can have another soon!

Speaking of aprons ... I went a little nuts inside Joann Fabrics on Monday and found great steals! I had to restrain myself but still went overboard. I honestly should NOT be allowed to go inside a fabric store without a chaperone ...

Whooo doesn't love this print? I do! Especially because it was on sale :)

I love these little cupcakes! Okay, they are not as small as I made them sound (see the penny for size comparison) but they will be sweet!

Guess what this will be for? I plan a matching adult and toddler apron to make everyplace feel like home. As we know, there's no place like home!

This will be a reversible apron with one side featuring a black bib and the other featuring a plum/wine colored bib. I love this fabric!

Like the looks of these? Keep watching the blog, the Facebook page, and the Etsy shop! Need something in another size, duplicated, or special ordered? Just ask me; I'm happy to make special arrangements!

Wine Not?

Get it? "Why Not"!
The Wine Not? Apron is going to be finished in the next few days (children permitting!) and the best part is, there will be a second apron almost exactly like this! The difference is the color of the bib will be a wine/purple color and there will be no ric rac along the bottom. The tulle along the bottom will remain because it's fabulous!

Stay tuned for updates and a finished product! Also be sure to comment on my last blog in order to be entered to win the Taste of Music Apron! The giveaway lasts only until 11:59 EST Tuesday, March 18 (tonight!!) so get busy!
And if you head over to Facebook and like and share Valarie Ann's Boutique, that gets you two extra entries! How cool is that?

A musical giveaway!

Hey guys!
I've been very busy lately with sick children and work related stuff coming up.
But I finally finished the giveaway apron!
I hope you like it! The maximum allowance for the apron ties are about 41.5 inches. I hope that helps ... (I tied it as close together at the ends as I thought would be humanly possible to do and then measured it)

It's unisex, so your brother or sister could use it, you or your wife or husband can use it ... anybody! I'm very excited to present the Taste of Music Apron!

This apron isn't reversible like some others I have at my Etsy Shop, Valarie Ann's Boutique, but it is great for people who like music or just need an apron!
Want it? Here's how it can be yours!
All you need to do is comment on THIS post and tell me why you want this apron! That's it!
Want two more chances to win? Piece of cake!
Visit my store's Facebook page for Valarie Ann's Boutique and like it, then share it with your friends! Anybody can win, it's just that easy.

Fine print:
*Right now, this giveaway is open to US residents only. If I get sales up, I can offer a giveaway with international entrants allowed, but until then, it's US folks only. Sorry!
**If you need this apron larger than it is, let me know and I will add some extenders to the ties. Just let me know how much bigger.
***If you don't comment here, you can't win. Facebook rules won't allow giveaways to happen there, so commenting on my page won't help unfortunately.
****Tell your friends! The more, the merrier, and honestly, the better chance we get at having another soon!
***** DEADLINE IS TUESDAY, MARCH 18 AT 11:59 PM EST*****

On Twitter? Me too!

Happy commenting! Questions? Just ask!

Coming up

I heart wine!

Just bought this beautiful piece of fabric for another apron! I'm planning to use tulle along the hem and maybe on the waist (we will see!). I cannot wait to begin this one :)

I am hoping to sell my other aprons, but if you don't see one you'd like, I can do custom orders!
Happy cooking, gardening, sewing, whatever!

I heart cooking

This apron is my favorite! I used strips of fabric from a jelly roll (a pack of fabric strips which are basically the same design or color scheme) and despite the tedium, I am very happy with how it turned out. I think my favorite part is the skirt and pocket. The fact that it's reversible is quite appealing; If you get a smudge on one side, just flip it over and continue your work.

Adorable! This apron can be used for cooking, gardening, or sewing. Fits small or medium. The model is a size 8, so keep that in mind.

I've been busy

I haven't been able to get on and update. My son's quilt from the last post is finished! Finally ...

And I started making aprons! Here's me modeling the first ever apron!!
And some construction shots ...

This is for a friend who requested owls. I'm planning to do many more and will take custom orders. I will hopefully be able to make some on the side and sell them via etsy. Once I have an etsy up an running I will post the link here and you can mosey over and check it out!

Stay tuned :)

Also for sale will be toddler and doll aprons. The toddler and doll aprons can match if requested. This apron is sized for 18" dolls. The pocket is functional too ;)
